Ceramic vs. Carbon Window Tint for Mississippi Heat
Mississippi summers are long, hot and bright, so most drivers in the Madison and Jackson area tint for comfort first and looks second. Toro Tint & Wrap installs two film types: ceramic and carbon. Here is how they compare.
Ceramic window tint
Ceramic film is the performance option. It is built for maximum heat rejection and clarity with minimal visual change, and it does not interfere with electronics such as phones, GPS or radio signals. It's the pick for drivers who want the coolest cabin without having to go as dark as possible.
Carbon window tint
Carbon film gives a darker, matte-black look and added privacy at a lower cost. It still provides strong heat and glare reduction and resists fading.
How to choose
Want the most heat rejection and a clear view? Choose ceramic.
Want a darker look and privacy at a lower cost? Choose carbon.
Either way, the shade still has to meet Mississippi's 28% light-transmittance rule (see our Mississippi window tint law guide).
How we install it
Every job follows the same steps: a consultation about your goals, film type and shade; a visual preview of your selected tint before installation; computer-cut film installed for an exact fit; and a final inspection of every window.
